About Ashley: More Than a Trainer, A Partner in Resilience
Hi, I’m Ashley, the founder of Marathon Mindset.
I'm more than a personal coach; I’m someone who understands how overwhelming and isolating the journey to better well-being can be.
Having personally struggled with self-worth and self-belief, I know exactly how hard it is to take that first uncertain step and remain motivated when progress feels slow.
My ultimate aim is simple: to support you in being the best you can be, in a non-judgmental, fully supportive way.

The Philosophy: What is the Marathon Mindset?
The road to real, lasting change is not quick and easy, if it were, everyone would be there.
That’s why I chose the name Marathon Mindset. It isn't about running races or crossing finish lines; it’s a powerful symbol. It represents the belief that real change requires time, consistency, and deep emotional resilience. It’s a philosophy rooted in the core truths of:
- “Trust the process” and “Time rewards those who show up, even when it feels like nothing is happening.”
The "marathon" is the journey of life. It’s the commitment to keep going through the ups and downs, showing up repeatedly, with patience and purpose, until consistency pays off in a strong mind and a strong body.
My Journey: Building Resilience in Welshpool
For me, exercise has always been an anchor. Even through life’s toughest periods, movement allowed me to focus entirely on pushing myself to be better, shutting out the worries of the world around me.
During the intense challenges of COVID, when I found myself struggling, exercise truly became a staple. Craving a way to burn energy and restore focus, I dedicated myself to consistent daily workouts in my garden.
This consistent showing up even when I felt close to giving up, even when things weren't happening as fast as I wanted, is what led me to professional coaching. The name "Marathon Mindset" is a constant reminder of the patience and consistency I had to cultivate in myself.
My Commitment to You
My mission is to help everyone in Welshpool, regardless of their starting point, to build that same mental resilience. I support a wide range of clients not just athletes who are recovering from injury, managing stress, or simply trying to build a better feeling in their own body.
Marathon Mindset is about building mental strength, emotional clarity, and sustainable habits that benefit your whole life, not just your fitness routine.
